In 2023, Pearson Engineering was engaged by MECA Properties Inc. to complete a visual review and condition assessment of the concrete balconies of the Apartment Building located at 262 Rose Street in Barrie, which resulted in recommendations for rehabilitation work. A Request for Quotation (RFQ) package was prepared on behalf of the Owner to facilitate the completion of a competitive bidding process with qualified contractors. The scope of work for construction included the surface preparation and waterproofing of the 7th storey balconies, as well as the replacement of a large portion of the 7th storey brick veneer.
